ANIMAL
THERAPY
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR ANIMAL THERAPY EXPERIENCE.
Our Animal Therapy sessions are very hands-on and unique. We offer Traditional Animal Therapy sessions, where participants may simply touch, hold, or be in the presence of the animals in order to feel more at ease and relaxed. We also offer Animal Exposure Therapy, which consists of gently exposing participants to animals they may have fears or apprehensions of. These sessions can be conducted individually or in groups. Each and every experience is fully custom to meet your specific needs.
Animal Therapy is also a great activity for special occasions, such as birthday parties, team-building activities, bachelorette parties, unique date nights, and more! Imagine the excitement your party guests will feel when they get to meet, and interact with animals such as tortoises, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, ball pythons, and even a giant rabbit! Sessions like this also provide for the best photo ops! You’ll have amazing opportunities to take some memorable pictures and videos full of smiles and incredible animals that will delight you and your family for years to come.

FOR ASSISTED LIVING
Some amazing benefits that live animal therapy can provide to residents of assisted living are the following:
Animal therapy is great for all ages, especially seniors. We often facilitate reminiscing experiences during our animal therapy. We may ask guests about their own pets from their past or their experiences with animals in nature. These can be very rewarding experiences, especially for seniors in memory care.
- Meeting activity goals
- Providing sensory experiences
- Use of fine motor skills
- Cognitive enrichment through reminiscing
- Encouraging social activity
- Fun for family visits
- Providing animal connections to people of all ages
Animals are Patient
Animal therapy is also a great wellness activity for patients under medical care, and it can be a wonderful relief for those experiencing long-term hospital stays. Animal visits are also good for family members that have been supporting their loved ones while in the hospital or under long-term medical care.
Patients experiencing mental health issues greatly benefit from touching, holding, and being around animals. Also, animals are known to reduce stress, pain, depression and anxiety.
We believe animal therapy is for everyone, and we absolutely love providing this service to those that need it. We know how much it has healed us and our families as well.
