FUN FACTS

Chameleons, like the Jackson’s Chameleon, have many unique adaptations for hunting insects in the wild. They have incredible eyesight & can move each eye independently to spot potential prey. Their specialized sticky tongue can spring forward, & expand to the length of their entire body (from head to tail), in order to catch food which would otherwise be out of their reach. Additionally, chameleons are famous for their amazing ability to change color, which typically shows their mood, but can also help them as camouflage to blend into the tree leaves.
